Who We Are
HillsDOer Day is the City of Hillsboro's annual community volunteer event that brings neighbors, businesses, schools, and community organizations together to care for our parks, natural areas, and neighborhoods.
There are two ways to participate:
- Volunteer at an existing cleanup project.
- Become a Project Leader and organize a cleanup in your favorite park or neighborhood.
No matter how you choose to get involved, you'll help make Hillsboro a better place to live, work, and play.
What We Do
Project Leaders organize cleanup projects throughout the city, while volunteers work together to improve parks, trails, natural areas, and neighborhoods.
Typical HillsDOer Day projects include:
- Litter cleanup
- Trail and park stewardship
- Neighborhood beautification
- Invasive plant removal (at select locations)
- General park cleanup
The City of Hillsboro provides Project Leaders with planning support, volunteer recruitment tools, cleanup supplies, safety guidance, and an online Project Leader Guide to help make every project a success.
