If you enjoy the Walters Performance Series and would love to volunteer, then this opportunity is for you! Volunteers greet guests, scan tickets at the door, answer questions, and help people find their seats. You may be asked to assist performers with merchandise sales and staff with light clean-up tasks at the end of the show (picking up litter, folding tablecloths, etc.). Volunteer shifts available for evening performances as well as for our weekend family matinees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests to the Walters Cultural Arts Center, answer questions, and provide other assistance as needed.
- Provide information about the performance series and upcoming events to interested patrons.
- Scan tickets at the door to ensure smooth entry for attendees (Note: the system is very user-friendly and easy to learn).
- Guide patrons to reserved seating and assist with other seating accommodations as needed.
- Assist performers with merchandise sales, including answering questions and basic cash or card transactions, as needed.
- Assist with light clean-up tasks at the end of the show as requested by staff.
