Senior Center: Morning Greeter

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome & Engage Visitors:
  • Greet all visitors with a friendly and positive attitude, making them feel valued and appreciated.
  • Provide general information about the Senior Center’s daily activities, events, and services.
  • Offer guidance to help visitors navigate the space and locate specific events or programs.
• Direct Visitors to Events & Activities:
  • Be familiar with the schedule of events and activities, providing accurate directions and recommendations to visitors.
  • Assist in checking in attendees for scheduled events or programs.
  • Ensure that individuals with special needs are supported and informed about the available services or accommodations.
• Customer Service:
  • Provide clear, concise, and polite responses to questions about the Senior Center’s offerings, policies, and community resources.
  • Assist with minor troubleshooting or concerns and direct more complex inquiries to appropriate staff members.
• Maintain a Welcoming Environment:
  • Keep the entrance area tidy and inviting.
  • Create a positive, respectful atmosphere for all visitors, embodying the Senior Center’s mission of inclusion and support.
• Collaborate with Staff & Volunteers:
  • Communicate effectively with Senior Center staff and fellow volunteers to ensure smooth operations.
• Support Mission & Values:
  • Actively contribute to maintaining an environment that aligns with the City of Hillsboro's values of respect, service, integrity, and innovation.
  • Ensure that all visitors feel welcomed regardless of background, ability, or circumstance.
