Who We Are

The Hillsboro Community Senior Center is dedicated to promoting and supporting recreational programs and activities that benefit individuals aged 62 and older, though everyone is welcome. By joining the Hillsboro Parks & Recreation team as a volunteer, you contribute to a thriving and connected community. Our volunteers are integral in supporting a diverse range of programs and initiatives, thereby enriching the lives of Hillsboro residents. We offer ongoing volunteer opportunities ideal for those seeking a regular commitment.

What We Do

Volunteer with Us!
We offer ongoing volunteer opportunities that are perfect for those seeking a regular commitment. Our volunteers play an essential role in keeping our programs running smoothly by helping with a wide variety of tasks—such as picking up donations from local grocery stores, serving meals, and assisting with setup and cleanup after lunch service.
To get started, we invite you to sign up for a Volunteer Information/Orientation Session: [Click Here.]
Volunteer orientations are mandatory for all ongoing volunteers. During the orientation, we’ll review volunteer responsibilities, scheduling, dress code, code of conduct, available opportunities, and more. A criminal background check is also required and must be completed before your first volunteer shift.
Please note: all new volunteers must complete training with the Volunteer Coordinator before signing up for any shifts. Volunteers may not show up for a shift without first completing this required step.

We look forward to welcoming you to our volunteer team!
