Join us for a day of family fun and community spirit at the SHARC Fest TRY-Athlon! This non-competitive triathlon event features swimming in the outdoor pool at SHARC, biking in the nearby neighborhood, and running around Shute Park. As a volunteer, you will have the unique opportunity to engage with participants, providing support and encouragement as they swim, bike, and run their way to the finish line.
Volunteer Roles:
- Event Setup and Cleanup: Ensuring the event space is prepared for participants and returned to its original state post-event.
- Registration Check-In: Welcoming participants and assisting with the public-facing registration process.
- Transition Area Support: Guiding participants as they move between the swimming, biking, and running segments.
- Participant Interaction: Offering directions, information, and motivation to participants throughout the event.
Requirements:
- This role involves being outdoors, in the elements.
- Volunteers should be comfortable standing for the majority of the event.
- Some lifting may be required.
Volunteers will play a crucial role in the safety and well-being of participants, as this is a health, wellness, and safety-oriented event. Come be a part of an invigorating morning that promotes health, community, and the joy of physical activity!
