Library: Brookwood English Conversation Hour Host

Welcome participants and guide small group conversations, introduce simple discussion topics and activities, encouraging everyone to participate while creating a supportive environment for English learners of various skill levels.  This is an informal conversation hour, not a structured English language class,  hosts are here to provide a positive, welcoming, safe place for people to practice learning a new language.  An ability to patiently and positively support patrons is required, prior teaching or facilitation skills helpful but not required.  An overview of how to initiate and keep the conversations going will be provided.  Hosts may sometimes need to do a simple room set up which may include setting up chairs or tables and restacking the chairs, placing tables back in storage area at the end.
