Help bring OrencoFest to life! Parks & Recreation is looking for volunteers to support a full day of fall activities, live performances, vendors, games, crafts, and more at Jerry Willey Plaza.
Volunteers will help create a fun, welcoming experience for community members throughout the event. Assignments may vary depending on event needs and could include:
Event setup and breakdown
Craft station support
Concessions support
Games and prizes
Activity zone support
General event assistance
Volunteers working at craft and activity stations should be comfortable interacting with children and families, helping manage supplies and materials, and assisting participants with activities.
Shifts
Two volunteer shifts are available:
AM Shift: 11 am–3:30 pm
PM Shift: 3–8 pm
We are looking for four volunteers per shift, for a total of eight volunteers.
Food, beverages, and breaks will be provided. Shift times include any necessary orientation, setup, or cleanup responsibilities.
What to Expect
This is an active, outdoor volunteer opportunity. Volunteers should be prepared to:
Stand and walk for extended periods
Interact with children, families, and other community members
Help move tables, chairs, tents, supplies, and other event materials
Lift up to 50 pounds as needed
Work outdoors in September weather with limited shade
Be flexible and assist where needed throughout the event
Training and instructions will be provided at the beginning of each shift.
What to Wear
Please wear:
Closed-toe shoes
Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
Volunteers are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle.
