The Friends of the Library is an independent nonprofit organization raising funds to support library programs, through the sale of used donated and no longer circulating books and other materials. Friends volunteers helping in the office receive and sort donations, research donation values, prepare books for sale or recycling, pack up books for storage or shipment, assist with cleaning, repairing and assessing condition of items from books to dvd's, LP's, CD's, and other items. Office helpers may from time to time be called upon to help in the on-site book store area or during the in library fall or spring book sales by helping with set up, customer service, or tear down.
