Help spread the word about the summer reading program and all things library as part of the Outreach Street Team! Every event is different with volunteer providing the extra smiling faces! You'll meet the van at the location specified, help set up the tables and displays. You'll then help facilitate a simple hands on activity, help with the prize wheel, or help with distributing library information. The ability to actively engage with passersby of all ages in a positive, friendly, professional manner is needed. Some lifting, setting up folding tables, helping to set up the mobile rolling library cart is required. Times vary along with the location and the event, some events are short, just one and half hours to two to three and a half hours. All day events will schedule various 2-4 hour shifts. Transportation to and from the event is on your own.
